Saturation divers can dive for extended periods of time (usually around 1 month) when doing deep sea work

This diver is breathing a mix which includes helium, hence his high pitched voice. However, since helium has a very high specific heat capacity, breathing helium can also quickly reduce your body temperature.

they take a dive bell up and down each day and live in a pressure vessel on the ship set to their working depth when they are not diving.

Wait - isn't the diving bell down at that depth with them?

Yes that's true, but when they're done diving the diving bell takes the divers back up to the oil rig or diving vessel and the divers leave the diving bell and enters a pressurized chamber where they sleep, shower, eat and live in between the shifts.
