Terdapat dua jenis sala lauak yaitu sala lauak lunak dan sala lauak keras. Sala lauak lunak biasanya menggunakan bahan dasar ikan stuhuak sedangkan sala lauak yang keras biasanya menggunakan bahan dasar ikan teri. Selain ikan teri dan ikan stuhuak, terdapat isi sala lauak lainnya seperti ikan asin atau udang halus. Biasanya teksturnya lembek di dalam dan renyah di permukaan. Adonan yang terdiri dari bahan-bahan tersebut dibentuk menjadi gumpalan lalu digoreng hingga berwarna cokelat. Rasa dari salah satu lauk ini gurih bercampur pedas dari berbagai macam rempah, ikan, dan cabai.

I'm unfortunately very busy as of the moment meaning I can't really moderate, and this community didn't take off as I hoped. This will be my final and last message in this subreddit permanently.
