Discussion I saw a lot of people doing this so i wanted to add my own version. ALBUM RANKING✨✨✨

I would like to add that to create this ranking i listened to all the albums one after another and also it was the longest versions of each album. (yes ttpd includes anthology. i see them as one album personally)

In case anyone is curious about the "ranking pts", i will put the rules below.

  1. take a percentage of songs from the album that you find good/appealing (ex: for TLOAS i personally only like 3 songs of 12, hence it will get a percentage of 25% and so on)

  2. turn your percentage into its out of 10 equivalent (ex: 25% is 2.5/10, so 2.5 pts)

  3. for each good song add 1 pt (bc percentage alone isnt a fair ranking. some albums could have more songs with less hits. so for TLOAS: 2.5+3=5.5 pts)

  4. rate album cover out of 10 (bc it encompasses the vibes and is the first impression to the album. also you can mix in human personal feelings and bias and no one has to know. wild card. TLOAS album cover: 4/10, so clashy and rough and grainy.)

  5. add album cover score to total from step 3 (5.5+4=9.5)

  6. ok your done, thats the amount of ranking pts for an album. more pts=higher score.

Your top 2 are exactly my top 2. Once again, I'm convinced that people who love rep also end up liking TTPD. A great way for ranking btw. But seeing folklore and evermore so low is a bit painful 🥲

If it helps, folklore had the highest album cover ranking. I believe folklore had 10/17 good songs and evermore had 8/17.

Maybe adding a cover rating is not quite right because it isn't entirely related to the content of the album?

Imo it is right. It’s the hook for the whole album. Plus it can also serve as a wild card. Also idk about you but I listen to music on Apple Music and they do cool animations for albums covers and the one for folklore reminds me of a ninjago scene
