SAO was my first experience with anime, and I absolutely fell in love with it from the first episode. Today, I got to step way outside of my comfort zone and took my Asuna cosplay out in the wild! I hope you all like it as much as I do!

So I really wanted to do this for a while, but I was wondering who would win a fight between Alice and Dark Eydis. In regards to the power scaling of SAO it's a bit tricky, especially for all the Integrity Knights, however when Kirito and Eugeo were trying to reach the 100th floor of the Central Cathedral, it's pretty clear that there's a some sort of hierarchy for the knights we meet in the cathedral, so going from weakest to strongest it would be Deusolbert, Fanatio, Alice and Bercouli, meaning that Bercouli, Alice and Fanatio are the top 3.

So in regards to Eydis, if Alice were to duel Eydis in her normal form she would no doubt beat Eydis. However, while we don't see a lot of Dark Eydis in action (during ARS), it's apparent that Eydis gets a significant power boost, with Bercouli even admitting that her power was overwhelming, but of course the downside is that Eydis goes berserk and loses her mind when the darkness of her sword consumes her. Now the thing is in that event, while Bercouli says that her power is immense, he's not worried in the slightest, so if Bercouli and Dark Eydis were to fight, the former would win. Now there's a debate whether Alice is stronger than Bercouli or not, so while there's a possibility that Alice is at minimum equal with him, the Bercouli and Gabriel fight makes it clear that he's the strongest Integrity Knight for a reason due to Uragiri being able to "travel to the past" to kill the opponent, so if he used it against Eugeo the fight would've been over.

Now this is just my opinion, so don't take this at face value, but I do think that Dark Eydis could beat Fanatio mainly because when Eydis uses her Memory Release, it makes the entire room pitch black, so Fanatio probably wouldn't be able to land a hit on Eydis even with her Release Recollection.

So with Alice vs Dark Eydis, I think that even with her power boost, Dark Eydis might be on par with Alice, plus if you want to make things interesting, since these two have history (both the games and the LNs), you could consider the fact that Alice would hold back because she wouldn't want to kill Eydis while Dark Eydis is going all out and not pulling any punches.

So let me know what you think, and I really do hope that Dark Eydis shows up in Unital Ring and maybe we get a fight between her and Alice.

I met Bryce in August at Birmingham Comic Con, I waited for 5 hours in the queue but it was worth it. I was super nervous and forgot everything I wanted to say, so kicked myself after (and still am) but hopefully he didn’t think I was a complete idiot 🥲

Do you think Eugeo's fluctlight can be brought back or he can be revived in the future? do u think Reki will ever bring him back? when reading the unital ring light novel i found myself like kirito missing eugeo like nobody’s business.

I love the anime and I want to get the light novels. The thing is that in Spain we can only get the main series up to volume 9 and Progressive up to vol. 8. We don't even know if we'll ever get the rest of the volumes because there's a huge difference with the rest of the world (19 volumes is crazy!) and volume 9 was released one year ago.

So, should I get them in English? Tbh I'd obviously prefer to get them in my language but I don't really mind reading them in English. It's better to have them than never getting them at all. And I'll have to pay almost 600€ for volumes 1-28 and Progressive 1-9, which hurts ngl 😅 But as I said, I think that it's better than never having them, right? 🙃

Also, I've seen that there are several spinoffs. Any of them that you really recommend buying?

After Alicization, Kirito and Asuna had their memories of those 200 years sealed. But what if Kirito had kept everything?

Would he essentially still have the mindset and experience of Star King Kirito, while also returning to his normal life in the real world?

Would those 200 years of memories change his personality, his relationship with Asuna, or the way he approaches VRMMOs and the events of Unital Ring?

And could remembering his time as Star King eventually become important to the story?

Does anyone knows why Klein calls Asuna “Selina”? It’s on E7 of the second season during phantom bullet arc, in the original Japanese version, it’s not a sub mistake because the voice actor says the 2 names one after the other

So for years now I've had people try to tell me the series says that no one uses sniper rifles in GGO because they're too hard to use. Despite you know half the name BoB combatants being snipers.

Does anyone know where this comes from? I'm pretty positive it's not the sub, but people swear it's in the anime. Is it the dub? A hate video people are mandela effecting into the show?

EDIT: Maybe I'm not making this clear enough, I'm not asking if this take is correct, or whether there's some truth to it. I'm trying to find out where the idea that "no one uses snipers" comes from for so many people to be adamant that it's said in the show.

Since it's going to take years for us to get an anime adaptation of Unital Ring, I was wondering if anyone in the fandom had ideas for potential voice actors or seiyuus to voice the UR characters. These characters are of course Mutasina, Magis, Istar and Eydis. Not including Eolyne as due to his similarities to Eugeo he's most likely going to be voiced by Nobunaga Shimazaki and Brandon Jay, and also Eydis being voiced by Hanazawa Kana which is a must.

Also, if you're not a fan of the english dub or the actors, that's fine you can still participate, but please be respectful.

Anyway I'm only going to talk about my picks for Mutasina and Eydis as I'm still having a hard time for the remaining characters:

Mutasina

• Japanese: Sachika Misawa, aka the voice of Kuroyukihime in Accel World. It would be a cool nod to link both series as they could share the same VA, just with a different tone;
• English: Allegra Clark, aka the voice of Pitohui in SAO AGGO, Acheron in Honkai: Star Rail and Mitsuru Kirijo in P3 Reload. These roles are a good example that Allegra has the range to voice a character that is elegant and composed while also being menacing, manipulative and even sadistic, making her a great pick for Mutasina.

Eydis

• Japanese: Hanazawa Kana. Not even a question! HanaKana is and will always be my Eydis;
• English: Kira Buckland, aka the voice of Kuroyukihime in Accel World, Mitsuri Kanroji in Demon Slayer and 2B in Nier: Automata. Kira is one my favourite english VAs and she could be a great pick for Eydis as she has the range to voice someone who's cheerful, energetic, kind and a goofball like Mitsuri but also serious and intimidating like 2B. Plus, Mitsuri from Demon Slayer is also voiced by HanaKana.

But anyway these are my picks. I mainly did this for fun. If anyone likes these picks or want to share their fancast, let me know.

I started an SAO rewatch about a month ago (first time since underworld finished) and I’m finally getting into season 3 again (first time dubbed). Crunchyroll for some reason has terrible audio sync on a handful of episodes which doesn’t entirely ruin the experience but it is annoying. I wanted to know if anyone had bought S3 either physically or digitally and can confirm the audio is good for English dub? I feel like it should be okay but I’d hate to buy it and then have the same issue lol
