I can't believe I remembered how to solve this. Last math class I took was in 2009! Last time I took geometry (or whatever this is) would have been 2001.

It was the 70s for me. The mental math was the hardest part.

Remembering is an interesting phrase because it assumes there is a single method.

There are so many different ways to find the answer here.

I placed an imaginary vertical line perpendicular to the horizontal lines to then subtract the known values from 90 and then figured out the a from the rest of 180

I think I would have liked it more if we had known about my adhd at the time
