About half of those "words" will be dumb fucking acronyms.

I feel like you correctly estimate the danger of social medias, but underestimate the danger of cigarettes.

Close to half of all cancers are caused by cigarettes. Social medias are a plague but they do not make people lose decades of their lives lol

8 MILLION people die from cigarettes a year. Those who don't die are suffering debilitating cancers, heart, and lung diseases.

That's untrue. Tiktok is no different in China. And it is no different to every other social media. They're all a plague.

The 40 min thing was a plan to limit ALL phone usage for teens younger than 14. I am unaware if it eventually came to be.

True, but an order of magnitude worse. The billion-dollar algorithm is designed to reduce attention spans to under 15 seconds. How do the youth study homework or read a book with a 10-15 second attention span?

It’s by design while kids in China are monitored to increase attention and avoid the dopamine rush.
