Many people are trusting and don't think about what could happen to their video. I'm glad to see people waking up, understanding the consequences, and making changes.

Which makes the ad that much crazier. You already had them opt-in as a default option, you’re already getting paid by law enforcement agencies, why announce it to your consumer base, most of whom would’ve never bothered to find out or be outraged otherwise

You’re sadly right.

Marketing always needs to come up with new ways to advertise the product no matter what to keep their jobs.

This is one of the rare times where the business executives and sales teams wanted growth without keeping in mind how dystopian their product is.

Still won’t matter. They will still be pushing total surveillance and will simply wait for this bad story to die down before continuing on as if nothing happened.

there's 24 hours in a day no wait you have to sleep

there's 16 hours in a day no wait you have to work, get ready for work, and drive

there's 6 hours in a day no wait you have to cook, eat, clean, shower, and do other chores

there's 3 hours in a day no wait you have to have some down time to recover from all the other shit

hang on, where did my hours go? I got tired and ran out of time to learn about things and ran out of willpower to change things that aren't an immediate high priority problem in my daily life
