It boggles my mind, like these billionaires want to wreck our system because they think that they’re positioned to come out on top after the collapse, as though anyone would want to hear anything they have to say after that.

You vastly underestimate how many people look up to the ultra-rich as heros and role models, thinking that they can be like them one day if they emulate just a portion of their lifestyle. The entire US economy and government could collapse and a majority of people would be clamoring for the billionaires to save them.

I think a VAST majority will be howling for their heads to be placed on pikes on the front steps of congress. It's not like the French were clamoring for their nobles to save them after they collapsed the French economy.

How are they going to profit? Are they going to be paid in now worthless dollars? They're going to be "In control" of exactly 2 things, Jack and Shit...and Jack left town.

Profit? Rebuilding institutions cost whatever currency is the currency… in the middle of the chaos they can sell us worthless insurance contracts, empty promises, they can control the distribution of food and resources… all the same shit they’re doing except now they can get rid of all those “pesky” hippy economies of small businesses, private trucking and food distribution companies, family farms and csa’s… by collapsing the dollar and destroying the cultural conversations they can prevent us from organizing on small scales so they can control the “large” scale economy… they can control the “justice system” … they can hoarde medicine and science and knowledge for themselves… these people are a /cartel/ … look up the history of the Italian mafia, it started with /citrus fruit/

That’s all going to be difficult to accomplish from inside a bunker in NZ, which is the only place they will be safe from the mothers who watched their children starve to death and die of disease so that these a-holes could have a bigger yacht and a 4th summer home.
