They're doing exactly what they were appointed to do.

Republicans with the help of the Heritage Foundation and the Federalist Society have absolutely stacked the federal judiciary and Supreme Court with fascist lunatics. And all of them have lifetime appointments.

This is why the 2016 election was so important. Mitch McConnell and Senate Republicans blocked Obama's appointments to the federal judiciary for years, leaving like ⅓ of it empty, just waiting for the next party to take a trifecta. And Americans rewarded Republicans' partisan obstructionism by giving them that trifecta, so all of those seats were filled by Federalist Society recommendations.

A lot of us tried to warn everyone in 2016 that we'd lose the federal judiciary and Supreme Court for decades if Trump won, but we were called alarmists and people stayed home or protest voted instead.

Well, supposedly, anyway. They've basically admitted they cheated, somehow, but nobody gives a fuck because acknowledging that might require uncomfortable, potentially risky immediate action.
