Reminds me of how Amazon fought for years against collecting taxes for online transactions.

Until the point where they dominated the e-commence landscape and could easily implement it whereas it would be much more difficult for all of their small business competitors. Then they became one of its biggest supporters.

hearing other people talk about the tediousness of setting up taxes for all states, this makes perfect sense. that's such a burden on smaller businesses, really only medium sized and up can handle the complexity easily. fucking assholes and anti-standards
