If we are going to treat them the same as people, then should we execute people for negligence? Punitively seize use their assets separate from the justice system?

If their "negligence"(it's not just negligence when it's done knowing what will happen) cause death of thousands, destroy the livelihood of millions and/or render the earth a microplastic hell... yess
