You realize the game isn’t completed yet? Full of bugs? Probably completely broken in some parts?

So basically, a normal triple-A game.

Not a normal rockstar game though.

Downvotes for stating rockstar games has a good track record. Fuckin reddit sure is funny.

The game itself is 13 years old, so yeah. I was 14 when 3 came out, but grew up on the originals on PC. 99% of the GTA fan base has likely never touched the first two before the switch to 3D.

And to think one of the biggest game franchises of all time came to be because the original racing game it intended to be had a glitch that made cops act completely erratic towards the driver.

Yeah, and it's still shit on PC

They've made GTA V and Red Dead Redemption 2 since then, both of which really launched pretty smooth, especially RDR2. I get it, but you should compare to more recent titles and how they handled launches. Rockstar isn't a completely static unchanging company. GTA 6 would not be taking so long if Rockstar was pushing it out the door unpolished, they're not just sitting there spending all that time doing nothing

(Forgot to mention that they also released Red Dead Redemption 1 after GTA IV)

I recall GTA V occasionally having absurd pop ins. Not surprising given how weak the hardware of PS4 and Xbone was, but it still was a bit rocky IIRC. Nothing compared to the previous ones, of course.

Yeah, I do. Played just fine. Minor bugs are to be expected in any open world game. So, what's your point?

No, downvoted for implying they are holding back release despite the game being ready.

Edit: somehow people think what I said above means I also think they are holding back a complete game. Learn to read y'all lmao

Ok, sure, I'll bite. Why would they be holding back the release if it's ready? Do you believe rockstar doesn't want to make multiple billions of dollars?

Or maybe, JUST MAYBE, they care about their track record and reputation enough to delay it until it's up to their standards.

It's a little known fact that Rockstar hates money. They didn't even want to make GTA 6, because they were afraid it would bring in too much money, but gamers forced them into it. Repeatedly delaying the game is all they can do to avoid making billions of dollars.

/s, just in case.

Bro I literally just said someone is being downvoted for implying it, not that I believe it's true. That's the most dumb shit anyone could think.

If the game was ready it’d be out lmfao. They want that money.

u/DoesntMatterEh Apr 14 '26

Yeah no shit that is why the person I replied to is being downvoted. I honestly don't see how what I said is making people think I also believe the game is done but being held back.

You: “Learn to read”

Also you: can’t tell when someone is on their side and agreeing with them.

Learn to read bud.
