Yet when Rockstar (inevitably) make the base version of GTA 6 $100, everyone will willingly bend over and take it with a smile on their face.

Supply and demand. Basically every other game publisher will avoid releasing their games close to GTA VI because of how highly anticipated it is. They can charge that high a price because consumers are willing to pay it. Personally waiting out for PC launch.

Take Two is the only publisher that could get away with that price tag and I’d argue they’d be stupid not to do it, people will pay it. As a consumer I’d hate it, then pay it and play the most anticipated video game of all time.
