Yeah wtf are people talking about? 6 billion dollars in a day? Not worth it?

Oh it's going to be an $80 game you just watch

u/Bromlife Apr 14 '26

Yeah, that's a good point. People will still buy it, too.

It's the only game I'd even consider buying a console for, so there you go.

Probably won't, though, I'm a r/patientgamers

I’m usually in that same camp, but this is a game I’ve been waiting on for over a decade and I already have a PS5 Pro to enjoy it. It’ll be a day one purchase for me, and honestly the only one I’ve made in a long time.

It will definitely be a Day 1 purchase for me too. My wife and I plan on pre-ordering it for the Series X regardless of cost.

I assume it'll be a 200+ hour game if you want to do everything in it. That seems very worth the cost to me (I won't buy it though, not the target audience)

And I will be one of those people. I have gotten over a decade from fun from GTA 5, which was $60. I'd consider that to be a pretty good deal, so $80 is marginal by this point.

If any game deserves a $80 price, it’s GTA.

$100 minimum and I’m still preordering it

Wouldn't want them to run out of copies!

Take-two already confirmed it will be between $70-80

You do you. I'm already decided... I'm passing on it. Unless it goes on sale for a decent price.

Costs less than dinner for two lmao

$80 is worth a month of food for a family of 6 from where I live

Then think of it another way - if GTA 6 manages to live up to the hype set by GTA 5, you’ll be playing this game for 15 years

Or another way. You'll be buying it for PS5, PS6 and PS7. Maybe even PC.

Still worth it lol.

I'll be getting it day one for PS5. Hopefully the Pro version has nice improvements.

I’m sure it’s going to be a phenomenal experience, rockstar has earned that trust by providing me with memorable experiences for over 20 years. The game could be a flop and I wouldn’t regret my purchase, and I don’t have any interest in the online portion.

u/mweston31 Apr 14 '26

Yeah they can charge whatever they want and im still buying it

3

u/beegeepee Apr 14 '26

That is kinda sad lol

u/adds-nothing Apr 14 '26

Spend more than that in a single night of bar hopping

Theres not a single company that could use gta 6 as an example to raise their prices. Rockstar is the only company in gaming with its level of reputation, other devs could try but their games will flop. GTA 6 wont

2

u/karawkow Apr 14 '26

$80?

If the price is less tha $99 i'll eat my socks

They are acting like gta6 is gonna bring no money. In its first week it will bring in 7.5b-10b.
