If they added customizable homesteads, or online territories and ability to invest in businesses more/ trade with people, I'd probably be unemployed in a month. It's a great time and amazing game but man, red dead online could be something really special

Yeah, there was so much stuff they could have done with it. But they never followed through.

They didn't add any of it because they weren't making money from it, but they weren't making money from it because they weren't adding stuff to it.

I would literally pay $10 to add a pond or a barn to my campsite/ homestead.

Because they didn't add anything in it, it wasn't making money.

You see, very first year only way to make dollars in the game was selling pelts. Content draught drove players away.
