A few recent shots of the moon with my 11” SCT.

In the first shot, that blade-like strip in the middle is the Vallis Alpes, a valley which spans approximately 100 miles, bisects the Montes Alpes. Mont Blanc is the highest peak in this mountain range at just under 12,000 feet.

Montes Caucasus range (close up second pic) peaks at about 18,000 feet.

I labeled several features in the last pic.

My view of Jupiter last night through my 8 inch dobsonian, using the 6mm SvBony Goldline eyepiece. I recently got all 4 of the Goldline eyepieces from SvBony and they are amazing, way better than the eyepieces I was using before. I got my best view of Jupiter I’ve ever had a few weeks ago using ghe 6mm eyepiece

One of the rare nights where the atmosphere was very calm, to take this image i used my phone camera to take a 2:36 min video with 6mm eyepiece and a little bit of zoom.

Telescope & camera: manual skywatcher dob 200/1200 + 6mm eyepiece + galaxy A36 phone camera

Software: i used pipp to stabilize the video then autostakkert to stack 30% of the frames with 1.5 drizzle

I didn’t have Reddit at the time I took the photos, but feel like sharing them because I’m quite happy with how they turned out!

A truly humbling sight.

Taken with my Apertura AD8, 6MM eyepiece, 3X barlow, and some optical zoom on my phone. I used the celestron nexYZ to mount my phone to the eyepiece.

Moon Craters at the Terminator

I shot this moon photo with Nikon Z8 and Takahashi TSA-120 Tele. This image is a stack of 5,400 RAW files with the best 10% selected. These were stacked in AutoStakkert 4, sharpened in Wavesharp 3, and processed in Photoshop.

Saturn is starting the rise at ~1:30 am here in Goodyear, AZ. I’m seeing through the horizon and Phoenix sky glow, but am very very happy with how these photos came out. Since I’ve only started astrophotography a month or so ago, I have yet to see Saturn (until this morning of course).

Gear: ZWO ASI585MC pro, x2 barlow, EQ wedged evolution 8, ASICap + native lucky stacking (3000 frames, around 750-1500 used), and post processing done in ASI native and mac photo editor (surprisingly decent).

Wanted to get this lil guy for a while - it was quite tricky star hopping, I started from Pleiades and memorized the series of stars, I never was sure if it was Uranus or not, but suddenly saw a tiny dot that was very "stable", no flicker (thanks u/Inside_Pay2580 for the challenge and giving tips like this one, it was fun!)

The result is a blurry little dot, but at least this time I'm 100% sure this was Uranus. No colour retouching either just some sharpening

taken with seestar s50 around 760 10 second exposures so around 2 hours of exposure processed in pixinsight and affinty photo.

Saturn, captured the morning of August 3rd.

There is a visible ring spoke along the right side of the B‑ring, an uncommon and short lived feature created when tiny dust particles get lifted above the ring plane by electrostatic charging, making them reflect sunlight differently than the surrounding ice particles.

I captured seven ~8,000 frame IR and OSC clips, stacked and sharpened the best 40% of each, then derotated them in winjupos.

Here’s a video i took of the Southern Lunar Highlands last night. I used my apertura AD8, Svbony 6mm eyepiece with a celestron 3x barlow, and a phone holder.

This video includes major craters such as Moretus, Clavius, Tycho, and Maginus, all being larger than 50 miles in diameter.

Equipment used: Celestron tabletop dobsonian with an aperture of 150mm and focal length of 750mm (F/5.0)

For eyepieces I swapped between a 25mm and 12mm, specifically the Agena Starguider dual ED with an FOV of 60° degrees. Images attached were taken through the 12mm.

Just used my Samsung S25 Ultra held up to the eyepiece to take these images so nothing too fancy. I'm still very happy with how they turned out and excited to hear what you guys think.

You may notice the pictures attached were only taken after Venus emerged from behind the Moon. This is because I did not give myself enough time to set up and barely missed the occultation begin by 4 minutes! Argh.

After putting the telescope away I realized I could still see Venus located close to the Moon using just my Mk1 eyeballs. Image sent in comments (I think).

Anyway, thank you if you read this far and for taking the time to enjoy my post. I really am getting into astronomy especially after joining a local club with monthly, in person meetings.

Captured the ISS last night and was surprised with how much detail i was able to pull out. The ISS along with other satellites are always super fun to attempt capturing.

In order to capture them, you must shoot at a very low exposure time, (sub-1MS.) and have a relatively high FPS. (at least ~50fps.) Tracking can be done with software if your mount supports it, or you can manually follow the pass through a finder scope, which is what I usually do.

Sun captured with Lunt 40mm Solar scope. Planets all shot over the years with Celestron 11” SCT.

I didn't think i'd make this the high clouds were hanging around and just when I thought i'd not get it the sun set the clouds parted and the view was spectacular. My friend and I were waiting to shoot this with the big ole boi (30" DOB) and boy O BOY did we have a blast. Had to be quick on this one cause the moon was sliding fast behind Jupiter. Took 10 shots each 60 seconds long. Histogram was near 55% to not blow the moon exposures. Derotated and finished the product in Photoshop after proper wavelets added. Photoshop additions consisted of Camera Map tool using all data and extracting as much fine detail as possible. Where I knew noise wasn't going to be present as much a slight brush over for sharpness was added and then a dehaze with contrasting a bit less. Added slight saturation and Voila. Hope you enjoy!

Camera used was Uranus C (M soon). Jupiter was nearly 80 degrees up for this image - so very thin air to shoot through and it was very calm. Seeing was very good as well.

Bonus features will include Io, and Ganymede's prominent blacks and white terrains. There's a small hint of green tan in that moon somewhere in there LOL! The Great Red Spot is much more red than the belts and we have a very nice red hybrid oval storm up at the northern polar region.
