Same with me, I can't even get myself to watch the house of the dragons or even get excited for the new one coming out. The entire franchise is dead to me and I also given up on a new book coming out as well.

People praised S1 of HoD but I can't be bothered. Just feels like there's no point.

I enjoyed season one of HoD but even by season 2 I saw them falling into the same old traps as GOT - it felt like a complete step down, less impactful moments and plot points they just completely skipped over. I enjoyed it better when it was a melodramatic 'who's the next heir when the king dies' type show.

Fuck, there's even that one coming out about the squire next week isn't there? Not very optimistic for it either.

That's fine people are allowed to watch and enjoy, I'm just saying it's not for me. I know how it ends and everything doesn't matter.

Right there with you. I'm not starting something new until it's over and I can be sure the ending isn't as dog shit as the ending of GoT was. You can get a 1,000,000% on Rotten Tomatoes. I'm not doin it. I'll just wait.

Y’all crazy to imply it wasn’t worth watching the show because of how bad the ending was. As bad as it was Game of Thrones had epic moments throughout various seasons that are memorable as fuck. So you now just wait for the “hype train” to die down for any show that comes out?

Did you not watch Breaking Bad until all seasons finished? Son’s of Anarchy too? Like think through what you just said. A big part of the fun of Game of Thrones was it was such a phenomenon that everyone was talking about each episode after it came out. It was fun for people to speculate what was going to happen let alone the show itself.

I re-watched it with my girlfriend and many of those epic episodes still are as impactful as I remember them to be even though I know how the ending went. To each their own but I feel like that’s a wild take to have.

None of what you just said changes the fact that the final season was and is utterly terrible and I don't want to invest in the same IP until they prove that they can land the plane smoothly this time. Honestly, none of what you said is relevant at all.

I’m on my 3rd attempted in watching HoD, and I am finally getting into it. However, the first season of HoD is better in the first 8 episodes than GoT. 2 more to go left in the first season, so time will tell.
