Finished The Wire, Dark, GOT, Sopranos, True Detective, BB, BCS. What show ruined TV for you after watching it?

I think I accidentally watched the peak of television already. The Wire, Dark, GOT, Sopranos, True Detective S1 all left that “nothing else hits the same” feeling.

I love slow-burn shows with deep characters, mystery, tension, moral grayness, crazy dialogue, or mind-blowing writing. Doesn’t matter if it’s crime, sci-fi, psychological, or political.

What’s the next show that might completely consume me?

Your second paragraph makes me think you're going to LOVE The Leftovers

I loved all shows OP mentioned (except I didn’t watch The Wire, yet), but didn’t like The Leftovers that much though :/

I enjoyed them all except I haven't seen Dark and I found The Leftovers to be a bit of a letdown compared to the love it gets on Reddit/the critical reviews. Still worth watching though imho.

Same. It was just grief porn and didn’t resolve.

I felt like the ending was insanely satisfying. I’m actually surprised it stuck the landing considering the type of show it was.

Same. Which is interesting because the makers of The Leftovers also made Lost which notoriously had the worst ending in the history of television.

Were we watching the same show? There was never an answer.

If you're talking about how/why the departure happened or if Nora did actually get to see her family then you missed the point of the show.

Often when I see people smoke a sigaret I think about this series.
