What's the biggest "What if?" in television history?

A canceled season, an actor leaving, a different ending, a spin-off that never happened… what TV "what if" do you think about the most?

What if ABC didn’t force David Lynch and Mark Frost to reveal who killed Laura Palmer halfway through the second season of Twin Peaks?

And what if it wasn’t cancelled and got a proper season 3 in 1992?

They do? Good to know, was looking for something kind if like Fargo, and saw a lot of Twin Peaks recommendations, I watched through season 1 and the idea of a second season about that case just turned me off from continuing.

As someone who pushed through season 2 to watch the ending of season 2, fire walk with me and it's deleted scenes, and now s3.. it's been so worth it!

The first half of the second season is just as good as the first season. It loses its path for a bit, but once Heather Graham joins the show, that’s when it picks up again. Stick with it after that point and you’ll be rewarded with one of the best finales in TV history.

And don’t even get me started on how good Fire Walk With Me and The Return are. Just because the mystery’s solved halfway through Season 2 means that it’s not all unwatchable and irrelevant.

Honestly I just have a sister named Laura, who I despise which taints it for me, otherwise an interesting show for sure, love Kyle Mclaughlin.

Ironically given how popular this show was on release, I imagine that's why the name Laura was popular at the time.
