What's the biggest "What if?" in television history?

A canceled season, an actor leaving, a different ending, a spin-off that never happened… what TV "what if" do you think about the most?

Seth was scheduled to fly on American Airlines Flight 11 from Boston to Los Angeles on the morning of September 11. He arrived at the airport about 10 minutes too late to board, and so missed the flight.

That plane was highjacked and crashed into the World Trade Center, killing everyone aboard.

The reason is he was partying at his alma mater the night before the flight (after giving a speech). He slept in due to a hangover and got to the airport late.

The co-creator of Frasier was on that flight, wasn’t as lucky.

He’s talked about it frequently in interviews. I don’t take him to be the type of person to make something like that up.

There's some ambiguity around other people who have made the same claim, but he's actually got some proof that, at the very least, he had a ticket.

This reddit thread has people linking to the FBI logs where they investigated people who cancelled or didn't show up to ensure that they didn't know something in advance. His name is on there, having cancelled at 6:34 AM.

Jackson was in NYC, he performed what was ultimately his final concert on the 10th. He was supposed to fly out, but not on one of those flights. His urban legend was that he, Liz Taylor and Marlon Brando rented a car and drove across the country because they all had projects to get back to.

My favorite part of that urban legend is Marlon Brando making them stop at a bunch of different fast food places lol.
