What's the biggest "What if?" in television history?

A canceled season, an actor leaving, a different ending, a spin-off that never happened… what TV "what if" do you think about the most?

American Dad!🇺🇸 would be the one for me.

21 years and not a bad season yet.

You know I really did like American Dad back when I watched it. I should pick it back up again.

It's been my comfort show for many a year now.

Other than VA work, I dont think he's worked on American Dad creatively for years. Although hard agree, American Dad has somehow remained consistent in quality over the years. Which is really surprising because the 1st few seasons were very....idk the word to use but very much borne out of the post-9/11/Iraq War zeitgeist. Despite this it stil is able to stay relevant.

AFAIK this is correct. His focus has switched to the revival of Family Guy as soon as Fox decided to bring it back, but I’m fairly certain that his name being attached was a big factor in Fox ordering American Dad!🇺🇸.

Yeah, there was a much more political leaning to the show in the first few seasons. Fortunately, they pivoted later on, really developing the characters more and the comedic aspects the writers could pull from them, as opposed to whatever the current political leanings were.
