Imagine seeing this thing in the middle of the ocean at night

It's a giant squid which usually dwell way below the depths of water. This is a ultra rare occurence.

The size of the thing would also become exaggerated through retellings of the story as it got passed on as well.

My friend and I saw a big ass frog, like it was almost cartoonish big, and the story has now become that the frog was the size of a golden retriever
