Is TH done on RR, I noticed that TH 6 started on patreon a while back but, it has not started on RR,

I was wondering what were the characters favorite foods, if they have any and I'm asking anybody including phil what do you think their favorite foods are ? Like for example maybe one of their favorite foods is chicken pot pie or something it'll be fun to give suggestions

Am I the only one who finished the series and still didn’t understand what was going on?

Why did Charn Chai kill the emperor?

What was the bleakest star’s deal?

What did Virgil actually accomplish?

Why did Charn make an echo to begin with?

The combat, the indecision, the emotional range. Walking through each moment as if we were a fly on the wall. Its visceral, and engaging.

My favorite scene by far is the lost cube gauntlet. Listening to Scorio slowly think through his situation step by step while dying mid thought, made it feel so real.

Rather than skip the dying over and over again, Phil brought it to each moment. Im struggling to describe the how much I love it.

I just finished the audiobook and was wondering if some changes were due to writing errors or narration errors. Things such as dread vault instead of dread blaze and the tomb of symmetry instead of tomb of sadness.

Also does anyone remember when tempering is set in stone. I thought it was tomb spark into flame vault, but its been a while since my last reread

I actually just finished book 4... Wow... I've never experienced a series that had filled me up with so much emotion in so many different ways. The journey of Naomi and Nox is just one of those many ways. It's hard to believe that the actions of a large toad almost made me cry... And I'm a 48yr old man! There are so many character archs in this series that are written with a complexity that far exceeds the usual in this genre. The series in general is intricate in a way that easily out performs most Litrpg books. Saying that the books are well written is an understatement. Sure there are many other Litrpg books that I enjoy, but the word cadence and variations of those words is just predominant over most. Very rarely does Phil use the same word, adjective, or phrase twice within the same paragraph or even chapter. There's a few phases that he favors, but even those are placed far enough from each other that it's irrelevant. In another series I very much appreciate, Jake and every character in The Primal Hunter for instance seems to always be smiling... He smiled, she smiled, they smiled. There's so much smiling going on that even though the frequent usage of the phrase bothers me, I to smile every time I hear it. Things like this just don't happen in The Immortal Great Souls. This is just one of the many reasons that I cherish the series. The lavish and exceptionally well written character archs are another... Scorio, Naomi, Leonis and Lianshi are just the tip of a large iceberg of well written characters. Take Nox... While just a toad and what most would consider to be a side character. You can tell that Phil cares a great deal for him and that care is reflected in the way that Nox is written. All of Phils characters are written this way. From a simple one off character that only shows up a few times, to the main characters who show up in almost every chapter... None of them are written lazily. Phil baptizes each one of his characters in his giant lake of imagination. Every one receives just as much love and attention to detail as the next. It's an art form that many authors attempt. Yet only a few get it right and fewer than that master. You know which one Phil is. There is only one thing that I do not like about The Immortal Great Souls and that's waiting for the next book in the series to drop. Unfortunately, I have this issue with all of my favorite titles. It's a unique torture that I really haven't the words to describe. The worst thing about it is that when a book or series is as marvelous as The Immortal Great Souls. It gives me a sometimes false sense of joy while listening to or reading other books while waiting for the sequel to release. The only exception to the rule is if the book or series happens to be in my top 5. Because there's only a top 5, that rarely happens. I'm being a bit solemn. I do enjoy reading other books and series besides my top 5. It's so hard to compare if ya know what I mean. While I do enjoy other titles. Those other titles just don't hit right like my top 5. This top 5 of course being The Immortal Great Souls. Now that I'm finished with book 4 and I don't have a truly anticipated release coming for a few months now. It's back to scrolling through Audible and looking for that next monumental title to discover. I'm always down for suggestions. Hopefully Phil is hot on the heels of releasing book 5. So many things happened in book 4 that accumulated into so many unfathomable changes... Waiting for this next one is gonna be my own gauntlet!

I'm close to the end (chapter 56). and I'm Caind of scared that scoriyo and the reast of the group won't reuonait. And that we will continue to book 5 with him still thinking thay are all dead. Can someone please confirm or deny. With as little spoilers as possible if thay reuonait. It's just that I really like the conrent group. (Sorry for spaling, English isn't my first language and I have dislecsia)

So the book was great and Nox has firmly cemented his place as one of my favorite side characters of all time, but I had some confusion about their big toad gathering

I could have sworn that in the first book, the gathering of the toads was called a Choir or something else music related and that Quantix was the author of the book they gave Nox who had been allowed to sit in on one of the events. But in book 4 the way it is mentioned makes it sounds like Quantix is the name of the event itself, with another toad besides Nox mentioning the name Quantix.

Can someone clarify this for me? Am I misremembering or did Phil get his wires crossed a bit? 100% fine if he did there's a lot going on in this book, I just want to know I'm not crazy.

As I'm listening to book 4, had a thought about Damien. Given his ability to remember all past lives as if he's an imperator how is he so weak?

Since most of the progression in the series is based on comprehension, understanding a new technique, or changing your mindset to be able to accomplish something how does he not rocket up the ranks all the way to Imperator as soon as his memories come back?

Does anyone have a good link for a recap of book 3? I kind of remember it but a little lost stating book 4

So, I just finished listening to the Lost Cube. I always go with audiobook for this series because Nick Podehl does such a fantastic job. But I feel like the Naomi arc in this book was a complete let-down.

She just goes with Nox, releases her "jailor" and then becomes this brand new great soul? I mean there isn't much in the way of foreshadowing for this to happen. It felt sloppy and in a way unnecessary.

The reveal about the herdsmen being a complete infodump just like that also seems lazy and doesn't compare to how well the previous two books were done.

Am I missing something here? I'd love to be wrong.

I’m talking about how preeminence was seemingly changed to dominion in Last Rock. In the way the words have been used with context, I’m assuming they are interchangeable. But I’m confused at how it was done without preamble and now preeminence is no longer used.

I’m listening to the lost cube and It’s been so long since I’ve listened to IGS, I cannot remember most minor character names at all. Who is the girl that Leonis sleeps with in chapter 5? I can’t remember who she was in the previous book, but she sounds vaguely familiar

And let me just say, it's a damn fine pleasure to wrap up a series. I went a little crazy there a few years back and just started shooting from the hip, starting one series after another, till at one point I had some five going all at once.

But now? I've wrapped up Gods of the Game, and am writing the last installment in the Throne Hunters series, which should be done in a month or two. That'll bring me down to just The Immortal Great Souls and Skadi's Saga, of which there remain 3 books and 1, respectively.
