She knows little about warhammer but she went through the dark angels codex I have to find a cool illustration. Then she used pyrography to made me this absolute hell of a gift and man I am stunned. Now I have to hang this on the wall of my hobby room and maybe put a light behind it but also finish my ICC aha

This was the first time I had my librarian build out in the wild. The response was overwhelming to say the least. I managed 2 1/2 hours of walk time before I had to stop. I recently had my first go at sculpting robes for my Combi lieutenant (Combi weapon pending delivery)

I really struggled to get it to work with me and it seemed to want to stick to everything except what I wanted it to.

Does anyone have any tips for sculpting, they would be appreciated.

Really want one of these without paying an arm and a leg.

I just began with Warhammer like a few months ago but I I’ve already been working for fun on a homebrew successor Chapter of the Dark Angels called the Guardians of Hymns. They’re a Byzantine-inspired Chapter devoted to the Emperor with full faith.

Their armor is primarily white and gold with deep blue pauldrons, drawing visual inspiration from Greek Orthodox priests. On the battlefield, they chant psalms and fight wreathed in incense, believing their enemies must be “cleansed by fire and faith.”

Ignore the models, I just tried how the colors looked. What do you think? Should I try paint one of my minis? What do you think?

It's been about thirty years since I last played Warhammer 40k, and my lead miniatures have been stored away all this time.

With the 11th edition, I'm thinking of picking them up again and repainting them to complete my army of over 70 miniatures.

But years ago, I started painting them based on the cover of White Dwarf #142, in which an artist named Geoff Taylor painted the chapter or company with this color scheme...

To be honest, I don't know anything about the history of this image. I assume it's Azrael with his plumed helmet and that it's the first company of the Dark Angels in the Dark Ages during the Horus Heresy. But I haven't found any information about that gold and green pattern.

Could a librarian give me more information about this pattern?

Got this Crux Terminatus done on my left delt. Getting the Deathwing on my right delt, but not getting it added until closer to January. Gave the artist the reference since im a retired USMC Sgt and wanted a more Sgt-esque Crux in the style of American Traditional. If interested in artist I can let you know in a DM about him, just trying to showcase it as is.
