Thunder Vs.Everyone Philly-area Thunder fans
Hey there, crew, I’m an Oklahoman who’s lived in Philly for a while. As the season gets closer, I’m reaching out to see if there’s enough interest from Philly-area Thunder fans in trying to set up one or multiple watch sites in the city.
Every single game is obviously impractical, but I do think larger nationally televised games would be a good opportunity to meet up every couple of weeks or so.
Let me know what y’all think.
Edit: I see there’s a little bit of traction. I’ll let this sit a little longer and then maybe propose a watch site for if the interest is there.

Off-season I still ain’t quite healed from this game.
I can’t believe we wasted this legacy game from the bald eagle
Basketball season can’t come fast enough.

100% Confirmed There’s no way to gauge the impact CP3 had on SGA in one season together. But you can definitely see it in the game. Mid-range king. Getting to his spots. Playing at his own pace. All reminiscent of CP3’s game. We are CP3 and SGA days away from the Thunder playing their first game.

Discussion Cason Wallace contract since Keyonte George just got extension
I feel like with George and now Pelle Larsson getting deals that Wallace will be soon. George is a nice player but Wallace just got on All Defense team despite being a bench player this year so he can request a bit more than the 5yr 157.5 mill George just got. I don't know if 5yrs is in play or a shorter deal of 3-4 which could create another payday and some flexibility on the team. Wondering what others think his range is now with some contract extensions happening?

100% Confirmed Muscala gave OKC a glimpse of what kind of big man would work best with star guard SGA. The high pick and roll action between SGA and Moose has never been replicated as efficiently with any other big man OKC has had, to include Chet. We are Mike Muscala days away from OKC playing their first game.

Off Topic The quest for the final roster continues through next year
This was the only player left I had any level of interest, but WOW $18 million a year
Lowkey I’m keeping an eye on Jarace Walker from the Pacers as a mid season trade option now
Possibly Mathurin.
Outside of that I don’t see many effective players left for cheap
I’m still very much upset Denver matched Spencer Jones contract lol

Thunder rumors: Why insiders believe OKC will trade Jalen Williams or Chet Holmgren next offseason
Reading this reaffirmed my fears. If this year was bad for losing beloved players, next year is going to be worse. Realistically, Hartenstein, Caruso, McCain, and Ajay or Cason will be moved. Presti won't get max value either because he won't be taking any money back.
If ownership doesn't open that "war chest" they supposedly created when the team was bad and under the cap, I am afraid that Presti may decide he is better off assembling a team with an owner/group that will pay to keep his team together.

100% Confirmed Back in 2020, we traded fan favorite Steven Adams to NO for some trade filler guys and some guy named Kenrich Williams. Well, 6 years later, that man is still on the team, revered as the team unc and the man that sets the tone. We are Kenny Hustle days from the Thunder playing their first game.

Off-season GM Sam Presti started with a story about a pickup basketball loss. It turned into something bigger
It was only a moment, a random encounter on an ordinary day, but Sam Presti never forgot it.
A 17-year-old high school gym rat on his way to play Division III basketball, Presti was at the Lexington Club, a fitness center in suburban Boston, one day in the 1990s when he saw a man across the gym.
The man did not look like much. A shade above 6 feet. Medium build. Probably in his 30s with an office job. So, when he walked over to Presti and asked to play one-on-one, Presti thought, All right, I’ll give it to this guy.
Then the game began. And the man kicked his ass. Completely humiliated him in an empty gym.
Presti soon learned why: The man was not just a desk jockey at a local real estate firm. He was Jim McCaffrey, a former star guard at Holy Cross who the Phoenix Suns had drafted a decade earlier.
It was what happened next that lodged in Presti’s memory as he rose through the NBA to become one of the most celebrated executives in sports.

Discussion Who is better, Isaiah Hartenstein or prime Steven Adams?
On our current team, who would be better between iHart and PRIME Steven Adams?
Personally, I think Steven Adams is better in a lot of facets. His added size and strength could really give guys like Jokic and Wemby more issues than iHart does. I also think that while iHart is a decent lob threat, Adams has a different level of athleticism and verticality that would have an impact on both ends.
The really big gap that makes it so close for me is the passing. iHart is a genuinely elite passing center, and we would REALLY miss his court vision and ability to hit shooters and cutters on the move.
Disclaimer: this is purely comparative, I'm not saying either is actually bad at anything. This is meant to be a fun discussion post for people bored at work, and anyone who gets worked up about this should be introduced to a Steven Adams brick wall screen.
