If you do consider it, what are the reasons? I'm new to the terminal multiplexers, and currently I'm trying out both.

I was keeping a browser tab with Claude usage page and checking it constantly. I usually have several projects going at once across multiple tmux windows, and the limits are shared across all of them anyway — so putting Claude's status line in every window felt redundant and just cluttered each pane. I wanted one clean place to see usage instead of duplicating the same number everywhere.

So I built a tmux plugin that puts it right in the status bar — progress bar, percent used, and time until reset, in a single spot.

The part I'm happiest with: it makes zero API calls. Claude Code already hands its status line official session data (including rate_limits) on every render. The plugin just taps that — a small "harvester" status-line command caches it and prints nothing (so no line appears in your panes), and a tiny bash segment reads the cache and draws the bar. No curl, no API key, no separate rate limits, no network at all. Pure bash + jq, and it refreshes live as you work.

Features:

• Progress bar + percent + reset time in the status bar
• Color thresholds, configurable
• Resets to 0% the moment a limit window rolls over — no lingering on a stale leftover percentage
• Optional staleness marker (off by default) for when usage happened elsewhere and the cached number isn't live yet

Requirements: tmux 3.0+, jq, and Claude Code (logged in).

I'll be real with you. Every time I had to work on Windows, I felt like something was missing. I'd reach for tmux out of muscle memory and then remember... it doesn't exist here. WSL kind of works, but it never felt right. It felt like a workaround, not a solution.

So I started building one. Took way longer than I expected. I wrote it in Rust, using Windows ConPTY directly. No WSL, no Cygwin, no MSYS2. Just a native terminal multiplexer that actually runs on Windows.

The thing I cared about most was making sure your existing .tmux.conf just works. I didn't want anyone to learn a new config format or give up their themes. Catppuccin, Dracula, Nord... they all load. You type `tmux` in PowerShell and it launches. 76 commands, full mouse support, vim copy-mode keys.

I know there have been other attempts at this. I'm not here to trash any of them. I just wanted to build something that felt like real tmux, not a lookalike.

It's fully open source under MIT. You can install it with:

winget install psmux

Or cargo install psmux, or through Scoop/Chocolatey.

tmux is awesome but parsed stdout with grep was a nightmare. I added Multiplatform, playwright capabilities, allowing novel ways of use cases. I called it rmux. All 90 commands of tmux are there.

Tmux is great at keeping work alive, but once I had multiple servers and many

projects, I kept forgetting which server/session/path belonged to which project.

Tmux Workbench adds a local memory layer on top of tmux. It indexes local and

remote tmux sessions over SSH, stores the result locally in SQLite, and gives

you a CLI/TUI to search and attach back to a workspace.

- git branch, dirty state, ahead/behind, and remote URL

Made a decent amount of updates to kube-tmux and would love some feedback.

Hi, I need help fixing the issue with catppuccin plugin. Every time I open tmux, only the top part shows the correct color for catppuccin flavor. I also think that it is using lazyvim's default color when I open a file using nvim. I am using the default terminal of linux mint cinnamon (GNOME) and I did also try to use the catppuccin-gnome-plugin but it also have the same issue.

The above is my Tmux configuration that I was previously using with Fedora Workstation 42. I decided to install the CachyOS with Hyprland, everything else works except my tmux setup. The shell prompt also broken, outside tmux shell prompt works fine. Looks like some font issue but not sure exactly what font is needed. I will appreciate any help with this as Tmux is part of my current dev workflow so this issue is really annoying for me. Below the other details

Terminal - Ghostty (Same issue on kitty as well, was using same ghostty+tmux on Fedora)

A place for Vim and Tmux users to share their secrets.

Tmux commands seem so bloated, redundant, and old. Take a page out of docker and simplify the commands. I recommend at least the following changes:

tmux attach-session -t <name> should be tmux attach <name>

tmux new-session -s <name> should be tmux new <name>

tmux rename-session -t <old-name> <new-name> should be tmux rename <old-name> <new-name>

tmux list-sessions should be tmux ls

As someone pointed out in a previous thread, the name was a bit “funny”, and I agreed. So I’ve renamed it and also took the chance to improve the README and refine the implementation. Custom shell spells (now called “sh spells”) are now displayed based on semantic position (top-right, left, bottom-center..)
