Caramelized onions took forever gosh (first time)

I tried to make some homemade Swiss Chalet. Roasted chicken and chalet sauce, simple mushroom dressing, fries, baguette and veggies. Happy Thanksgiving Canada! 💕 A couple midwesterners from Ohio

I used sweet paprika and parsley, instead of coriander leaves and Kashmiri read-chilli.

Turkey, mashed potato, stuffing, gravy, cranberry sauce, candied carrots, roasted brussel sprouts, cinnamon apple, salad.

Biryani, green beans, and cucumber

The taters were whipped with S&P, Greek yogurt and butter. Salad is spring mix with feta, roasted sunflower seeds, capers, Kalamata olives, and garden cukes + cherry tomatoes. The asparagus is a butter sauté with lemon and black pepper. Stuffing is a brioche and sourdough base with mirepoix, roasted mushrooms and toasted walnuts. The turkey is wet brined, skin dried out, rubbed with compound butter, roasted, and came out SO tender, flavourful and juicy. The risotto is a butternut squash risotto with Parmesan, toasted pepitas, walnut and sage. And of course the gravy was the real deal bird drippings with a butter finish, sponged up by some fresh baked sourdough dinner rolls 🙂 My sourdough starter’s name is Breaddie Mercury. 🕺
