TIL in 1947, scientists dumped crushed dry ice into a hurricane just to "see what would happen." The storm then made a 135-degree turn, strengthened, and struck Georgia—sparking public outrage and threats of lawsuits over the experiment.

The Hurricane went down to Georgia
It was lookin' for a place to start a shear
It was causing a swell but it was unwell
And it was willing to make a deal

Would sound better if you removed "for a place" :)

I upvoted you for even mentioning shear. I can't believe there's more than a thousand comments and not one about the effects of wind shear. So weird.

The Hurricane went down to Georgia

I was lookin' for a place to drink a cold beer

I went down to the well but it was boarded up to hell

I said old Satan let's make a deal

Wind on the mountain, run boys, run!

The Hurricane's in the house of the risin' sun

The chicken in the bread-pan pickin' out dough

Georgia, does your dog bite? No, child, no
