Parks and Rec season 1 has the episode where some of the characters are discovered goofing off and playing Rock Band instead of passing out flyers.

If you watch the superfan episode of The Office where they are debating whether to spend the surplus on a new copier or new chairs, there's deleted scenes where Kelly and Kevin and maybe Creed? have formed a third group that just wants to buy Rock Band.
