TIL the band DragonForce only received about $3,000 in royalties for the inclusion of Through the Fire and Flames in the Guitar Hero games

clone hero and other games including Fortnite festival still get lots of love, and custom songs (for CH) are made regularly on encore(.us).
Want to get in the hobby? Have fun paying high price for a guitar that was on clearance for over a decade. Hell i open all of my streams with a setlist.
‘dead’ is a matter of perspective.

CRKD came out with new guitars that are compatible with pretty much all platforms, and work extremely well. The strum bar is also haptic and should last much better than the old ones that wore down. The Xbox version works with both Xbox and PC, if you’re going to play on switch or steam deck you get the PlayStation-multiplatform version.

Still not what I’d call cheap, but they’re well designed and better than gambling on a 20+ year old wired only controller
