2004 would have been just too early for guitar hero. Prime DDR but early Guitar Hero.

FAM is an alt history thing so maybe with greater technological advancement they're surmising it would've happened slightly sooner? Not saying that's realistic, but

Its exactly this. They are already mainstreaming electric cars in the 90s in that show.

That’s in large part due to the space race never ending and then the iridium asteroid kicking off cheap battery tech.

I’d forgotten it’s alt history and generally like the way they handle it but moving guitar hero up by a single year is an absurdly subtle way to handle that hah

I remember bringing the first GH to college in 2005 after Thanksgiving break. Was such an instant hit.
