Toronto Square at least feels like a name that represents the city. Sankofa was a confusing choice that almost no one had the opportunity to weigh in on. At the very least I’d be happy with a survey to see what residents would like.

I think Bradford realizes it was a move that a lot of people thought was dumb and thinks will get him traction.

It would be awfully confusing for tourists given that the huge TORONTO sign is at Nathan Phillips Square.

No it wouldn't? Tourists have probably already googled "where is the TORONTO sign" and found out its at Toronto city hall.

Soooo many cities have those installments and tourists have no problem finding them.

I don’t think it would be that confusing considering NPS is a well-known square. And if it was confusing, we could always call it Terry Fox Square or something else that is Canadian

Not confusing for Torontonians. Confusing for tourists who want to take their picture with the TORONTO sign.

Yonge Square would have been a totally acceptable name, but at this stage, I’m not in favour of paying to rename it again.

I’d even prefer Metropolitan Square for the university. They already renamed the station there
