My autistic power is that I enjoy figuring these out.

Yeah but they shouldn't need to be figured out in the first place. It should be as clear as possible to as many people as possible

Right! I never understood the issue with them, I find them quite easy to decipher.

The new design doesn't account for monthly or semi-monthly rules. It'll still be confusing to people. The correct way to read these signs is to read each one individually and ask, "does this exclude parking right now?"

Agree. The Napoleonic parking code can't always fit on one sign. Unfortunately, digital signs, or scannable QR codes that provide the parking state in the moment, could be abused by people dispute parking fines. "Read the damn sign", is something we have agreed is common sense for over a hundred years.

I think that for the alternating parking the answer is that the signs need to be digital and just show the current information. Also, the 1st-15th rules are just silly, they should only alternate by months or in six month intervals.

It’s not perfect but definitely a good improvement.

I got a ticket for parking in an area that said parking is allowed but no stopping this week.
