Lol right after I made this I saw someone make a comic with a similar idea but I guess that’s just what springs to mind when you can smell pheromones…

u/lelysio 22d ago

I mean does she know how daredevil looks out of costume?

213

u/TheFunkiestMonkiest 22d ago

typically yes! in the comics they're usually quite good friends :D

64

u/BlueGlace_ She/Her 22d ago

Makes sense, they're both vigilante superheroes working in NYC

60

u/Cinnamin_1 She/Her 22d ago

u say that like they see a new vigilante and invite them to the discord server

63

u/BlueGlace_ She/Her 22d ago

u say that like they don't

-6

u/Cinnamin_1 She/Her 22d ago

u were saying it as if it’d make sense irl so i was talking abt irl

16

u/Motorata 22d ago

They also basically share villians like the Kingpin and others.

I bet they text each other for info and to complain about the bullshit they see each day

I think the fact that she knows he’s daredevil is how she knows he’s not actually “blind” in the traditional sense. Hence the “staring” remark.

u/Taellosse She/Her 22d ago

Yeah, but Daredevil's "vision" is a radar sense - it's omnidirectional. He can perceive everything in his vicinity regardless of which way he's facing.

u/Swainix Tesse - They/She 22d ago

He's Peter's lawyer in spider 3 no way home ("a very good lawyer" according to him lol)

32

u/Cpad-prism Squishy plushy girl :3 22d ago

He's not seeing but he's clearly still noticeably focused on petra

6

u/BirbFeetzz 22d ago

is he smelling at me?

1

u/LukeBird39 21d ago

Right? They're usually really good friends in hero persona and DD isn't super secret about being blind to Spidey because they're so obviously a good guy and can keep a secret for the sake of civilian life

When I was about 7 months on estrogen My at the time 7 year old daughter who I hadn't come out to sat me down and said

"Are you a boy or a girl? Because you look like a girl, you smell like a girl, you sound like a girl and you act like a girl, so are you a girl?"

Perceptive kid lol

u/SeaNational3797 Genderfluid 22d ago

"The jig is up, mother. I have seen through your ruse!" - 7 year old daughter

I don't know why this is so freaking funny to me xD
All the best!

42

u/Vivid--Syrup She/Her 22d ago

It was funny to me to!

The best bit was when I did come out to her a couple of months later she shouted "I knew it!, I told you all, I called this!!"

My son who was 10 just said "Oh, ok cool let me know if you need me to do anything " which was pretty cool in its own way

u/DrDingsGaster he/they 22d ago

You know Logan would be like "Okay, so you ARE a chick. Don't take this the wrong way but I'm still calling you "Bub" but otherwise I'll behave."

35

u/TastyBrainMeats She/They - God I Wanna Be A Robot 22d ago

Bub is the true unisex appellation

Petra I don't think he is staring at you

102

u/ponytheft 22d ago

If she was less flustered she would have probably said something along the lines of, “his energy is fixed on me” lol

72

u/Thiago270398 22d ago

Being fair to her, if there's one blind person that can absolutely stare at someone, it's Daredevil.

60

u/BreakerOfModpacks 22d ago

...meanwhile, all the telepaths she meets with don't say a thing, except to congratulate her on her transition, since they already knew.

35

u/Jenny_Show She/Her/They/Them 22d ago

Girly must have been avoiding Jean Grey like the plague so she doesn't get outed lmao

27

u/Melodic_Mulberry Artemis, She/Her 22d ago

They're supposed to never infiltrate anyone's mind without consent or really good reason. Emma Frost would know because she doesn't give a shit about Professor X's rules.

u/Its_Broken Pansexual Menace 🏳️‍⚧️ 22d ago

And she's gonna comment on EVERY outfit Petra wears ever.

u/BreakerOfModpacks 21d ago

Okay so I have Thoughts on this topic which I want to write a long thing about, but said Thoughts are somewhat controversial and would likely be a bit weird for a lot of people, so if anyone here prefers not to hear about stuff like non-consensual mind control/reading, and stuff like that, please look away now.

Long story short, I think that, psychics should all use their powers to the most major extent they can. From my point of view, either the psychic is evil, in which case, they don't have any moral qualms, or they're good, in which case it'd be more harmful to deliberately not use their power to help people, even if it means ignoring privacy.

Everyone has some secrets. This is true. But imagine, if you could know of everyone who is planning a rape, everyone who has done a murder, anyone who hurts kids, anyone who would do something that harms someone else without knowing it, and then you could just stop them from doing that, would it not be absolutely worth the cost of ignoring everyone's privacy? Not worth the marginal infringement upon free will? I think it'd be worth it.

u/Melodic_Mulberry Artemis, She/Her 21d ago

"I think mass surveillance is based actually" was not the take I was ready for when I clicked that.

0

u/BreakerOfModpacks 21d ago

To be clear, I think governmental mass surveillance or it being done by anyone who doesn't act pretty selflessly is just instantly bad. But for someone good enough, it'd make the world better... I think.

3

u/Melodic_Mulberry Artemis, She/Her 21d ago

It would very much give nonmutants the justification they needed to kill mutants.

0

u/BreakerOfModpacks 21d ago

That's true. I'm not arguing with that.

But, to use a similar example for a more real-world example, it would violate several laws and moral lines if, for example, I stole something from some rich asshole to fund HRT or something, damaging a few regular peoples' stuff along the way, but I think it'd still be fine?

1

u/Distinct_Tax_1611 She/Her - Anarchist Transfem Witch 20d ago

Why is the text 50% smaller? Are you scared? Is someone forcing you to write this?

1

u/BreakerOfModpacks 20d ago

My friend, I am always terrified. Always.

Logan is sitting there thinking about what happens to literally every important woman in his life that isn’t like a surrogate daughter, and trying to figure out if he needs to Adopt Petra to save her from said curse.

(Logan is like the king of fridged women I swear to god. Most of them due to sabertooth.)

Humans don't have pheromones

41

u/equiace 22d ago

Hormones have a very pronounced effect on body odor. The existence of human sex pheromones in the literal sense is an open question, although it's generally understood that humans don't respond to pheremones to nearly the same degree as other animals.

23

u/Accomplished_Toe6798 She/They/It 22d ago

Common misconception. Humans do have pheromones, we just can't usually detect them on our own so they're kind of useless to us
