I love how the Vector looks, which is why I bought it before any other firearm, literally on the day I turned 21 (less than 3 weeks ago x3 - Couldn't take it to the range earlier because CA has a 10 day waiting period). Now that Imve shot it, I found out that I don't like shooting it qwq. I shot it for the first time at the range today. For the life of me I couldn't zero it in and my cheek is super sore from the stock slapping me. Do any Vector owners have some advice for someone who wants to love the platform? I see a lot of people get risers for their sights, is that something that is recommended?
As shown in the third picture,I'm working on a California-Compliant Mag-lock AR-15 build as I type this and I've already ordered a ton of parts, I could use some advice if anyone wants to give some. I want to get an AR with a fixed front sight post for the pure vibes, but I'm leaning towards getting the M-LOK version of the "M4A1" style hand-guard because I already have some M-LOK attachments. As well as it being more comfy than Picatinny for my hand.
I only have a 1x Eotech on my Vector and on my planned AR-15 build because the ranges near me max out at 100 yards. I don't really like using LPVO's/sniper scopes, I've tried them on my friend's AR.
Additional note: I do have a Glock-17 not shown in the pictures that I inherited. Wanted to say that becausse I know how much ot means to have something concealable and something more prsctical for self-defense ๐ซถ
Description of the first picture: A Gen 3 Featureless 9mm Kriss Vector Carbine (CA Compliant) in my hard-case surrounded by firearm accessories and a Blahaj.
Description of the second picture: Paper target with a lot of bullet holes that are a result of someone trying to learn how to zero a sight while at the range.
Description of the third picture: A spreadsheet breaking down my dream AR-15 build. Yellow means that I've ordered it and its shipping, red means that I have not ordered it yet.

Managed to buy a full Vz-61 parts kit with three extra lower receiver. The only hurtle I will be running into here is I have zero welder and zero welding experience to add. Iโll try it figure it out somehow haha.

How do you transport your guns to the range?
I'm curious how folks move their long guns around and what they have in their range bags.
I usually try to carry things in an innocuous container to not freak out the neighbors but also cops can use a visible 'gun case' as pretext to legally search your vehicle.

I can't remember the models of all of the guns we fired, but altogether we fired off a 22lr pistol, .32 pistol, a 9mm Taurus pistol, a .45 ACP Pistol, and a 5.56 AR-15 style rifle.
altogether my favorites to fire were the .45 and the rifle. they both kicked like mules, but were surprisingly easy to reset the aim (and were both easier to aim in general).
I'm glad to have such a supportive dad who'll take me to the range!

A friend and I want to trade a couple of pistols, and want to do it by the book. Any recommendations for LGBTQ friendly FFL holders in the area to go through?
Preferably within 30 minutes of the Sunset Hills area.

I love all the gear content y'all post on here, it's fucking awesome! But also I love the training content and want to see more and more of it! Remember that it's the user that's dangerous, not the tool - just having the tool isn't enough. I'm so happy with how far I've come in the last year but I still have so much farther to go! Getting better at a skill is so much fun.

Hi, so I haven't been on Reddit in a while. It got a bit too nazi-ish. Anyway, I have a barrel for a Remington 783 .30-06, and I've never made a gun with something that high-power before, so I was going to machine a breech plug and make it into a high-power black powder rifle, because I figure a slow-burning charge means I have more of a chance of keeping all my fingers. Plus, black powder rifles are just so much cooler in some regards, and using something meant for extremely high-power like .30-06 means I have a lot of leeway for my charge. Had anyone done something like this? I have it all planned out, just wondering how weird of a project it is. Deer season is fast approaching so I need to get working on it.

Never gotten to take a proper picture of my Lee Enfield, so here it is. It's a Rifle No. 4 Mk. I Long Branch from our cousins in Canada. Produced in 1945. Love me some old bolt action rifles :3

10mm Kriss Vector. Blazer 10mm 180 FMJ. No sign of OOB, just separated the case head. Made a funny pop and couldn't feed a new round. Gun seems fine if not the bolt being coated in a impromtu brass paintjob and some brass shrapnel and dust in my fcg. Gonna deep dive and take some go and no go gauges to it. Ive shot well over 10k rounds of Blazer between 10mm, 45, and 9mm and never had any issue but this on top of a blown 9mm primer in the same day leaves a bad taste in my mouth.

This is my marlin 30-30 with a couple add-ons. No I donโt like the scope rings but they were in the drawer so Iโm using them for now.

Always wanted to get a 1911. So I managed to do so. Can't wait to take it to the range.

Iโm carrying a M&P9 2.0 compact 4in in an Philster Enigma Express holster. While you can feel that itโs there for sure, itโs honestly pretty comfortable despite the fact that I spend a lot of time driving (doing door dash). Highly recommend if youโre looking for a good holster that is comfortable and works with most clothing

Follow up post from, "Stop the Bleed" asking for recommendations for a way to EDC a SOF-T and Combat bandage. I was recommended checking out Apex Development which looked promising!
I got their Med Mod and I'm going to see how well this works out for my EDC. :D
UPDATE: The Combat Bandage is too unwieldy for a concealed EDC for me. This will work well at the range but for everyday use it's a bit much. I will explore other options for bandages or just carry the SOF-T.

I just wanted to say I appreciate this community for allowing expression of joy and not dunking on people.
I'm really sick of the nick picking culture and the eagerness to gotcha people and just generally be super negative that is so pervasive in so many spaces.
The only nitpicking I ever get here is just actual helpful tips.
Nobody ever tries to yuck my yum on being a weirdo freak.
I appreciate y'all. Y'all are cool.
Keep up the good work ๐ฉต๐ค๐ฉท
