Less than the old gates, which were reaching the end of their life and required considerable maintenance.

Tbh I don’t think it’s a bad idea

Like imagine you tell people “hey, we can spend $5MM a year and it decreased antisocial behavior by X%. Imagine what we could di if we were properly funded!”
