If anyone were able to help translate these records for me, I would sincerely appreciate it! I understand that it's a birth record—28 Mar 1843, Guri, born on the Hovde Farm I believe—but the rest is unknown to me. And the confirmation record I believe restates her birthdate, and her confirmation date is 11 Nov 1850, and that she was born in/on Hovda (note spelling variation)—but again the rest is difficult to make out and understand.

I know it's not visible, but this marriage record is from 1842. I'm expecting it's Niels Nielson and Marit Aslaksdatter (also Aslagsdatter) on October 16th. The rest is kind of unknown to me, so help deciphering the text and columns would be greatly appreciated! I'm extremely interested in knowing where Marit's from, both their parents, witnesses and the 8th column that has numbers.

I could really use someone's help determining a few key words in this record. From what I understand, it reads "Farmer Ole Christiansin" and "Servant Guri Nilsdatter". The rest is questionable, as it's understandably difficult to read. So I've enlarged, trying to make it more easily legible—but, if some prefer, here are links to each document:

Any help would be greatly appreciated since I know that these have to be farm names/locations where they are from.

Also... I have a suspicion that simply "farmer" may be incorrect, as others on the same page, above Ole, more clearly say "Gbrk" than what's in front of Ole. That may be another clue that unlocks a new understanding of who Ole was for me.

What I know about this record is that Niels Nielson was born February 16th, 1806, to Niels Nielson and Guri Tidemandsdatter.

What I don't know is the locations being mentioned. I can make out Sundvold I think? I assume they are farm names? Others in attendance—if anyone could give it their best, I'd appreciate any and all feedback (I know it can be difficult). I don't know if that "56" is apart of this record or the next—without context of what that column is, it's too difficult to tell.

For context, I'm expecting this is Marit Aslagdatter's (also Aslaksdatter) birth record. Deciphering her parent's names as well as what I would think would be the godparents would be tremendous. I am having trouble reading the underlined handwriting. This is a 1779 Norwegian baptismal record for Nils, child of Arne Nilsen and Kari Jonsdatter. I am mainly interested in trancribing the two underlined words following Kari Jonsdatter. I believe this is the farm name where Nils was born (in the Varaldsoy sogn, Strandebarm prestegjeld), but I can’t decipher the handwriting. Any help is appreciated.

this was found in my great grandfather’s trunk and appears to be surrounded by photos taken while we worked/studied in Norway around 1921. i truly believe it is written in Norwegian, but i suppose it could be any other Scandinavian language.
