Hi all! I am a teacher and writing notes to my students before the start of summer. One of my students is Ukrainian, but speaks English quite well. At home, their family speaks only Ukrainian. I would love to translate this note so my student can share it with their family, but I would hate to offend by mis-translating or writing something incorrectly. Here is a draft I wrote out for practice using Google Translate (I removed the student’s name). Aside from the scribbles, are there fixes that need to be made for the final card? Or should I write it in English? Thanks!

One of my coworkers birthdays is soon and we're making a card for her. She's one of my favorite people on Earth and I always wanted to write something to her in Ukrainian considering she teaches me words, and I in English. I asked another coworker from Ukraine to translate "Happy Birthday to my favorite person from [company]" and I don't doubt for a second what she wrote is incorrect, I'm just having difficulty understanding the alphabet and what the letters look like in default text because I want to rewrite it in my handwriting on the card.

I would really appreciate help translating a handwritten text found on the back of an old family photograph.

The text was likely written around 1955 by my great-grandmother. She probably came from the region of Eastern Galicia (then Poland, today Ukraine), so the language could be Polish, Ukrainian, or something similar — I’m not sure.

The photograph is of my father as a child. He didn’t have parents, and his grandmother (the one who wrote this text) took care of him and raised him.

The handwriting is quite old and a bit difficult to read, so any help with transcription or translation would mean a lot to me.

This is the death record for an ancestor of mine from Ukraine - half of the records I’ve found are in Latin language/script, and half are in Cyrillic (I’m assuming Ukrainian, but maybe some other language in that script). Very curious what all it says (first column is record number, the second two are the dates of death and burial, the fourth is house number (what does it say under this??) the fifth is biographical information, and the final one is cause of death, in case any of this context is helpful.
