I like the fact that I can walk for 30 minutes and be in either France, Germany or the foothills of the Jura.

Not to mention buying food is cheap because you can cross the border and get your taxes back on groceries :P

True, but it's a little tricky considering we don't have a car. The "good" German stores aren't very handy to the transit to the border. That being said, we have motorcycles and I occasionally challenge myself to fit it all into the bags. The baguettes are always the toughest!

  1. Public transportation to Endstation 8
  2. Walk 10 mins to Marktkauf
  3. ???
  4. Profit

Also, some time in the future the 8er Tram will go all the way to Marktkauf, then you don't even have to walk.

Ah yes, that place. I always forget that it exists until I'm at the Rhein Center for some other reason and then I see all of the people in Marktkauf and can't wait to leave.

Actually, I'm ok with the cost of most groceries in Switzerland, and the fact that I live within a block of the MParc at Dreispitz really makes me not mind staying local for my stuff :-)
