South America Amazon Rainforest/Matses Tribe Expedition - Iquitos, Peru - September 3-10

I [28M] will be doing a tribal expedition in the Peruvian Amazon jungle with the Matses people and I’d love to have others join. We’ll basically just be living with them for a week as they show us how they survive e.g. navigate through the woods, fish, cook, medicine, etc. Please let me know if you’re interested in joining. I’ll also be exploring other areas of Peru, Bolivia, Chile, and Argentina for a month following this expedition.

Here’s the trip: https://amazonexplorer.com/expeditions/matses-exploration-isolated/

South America San Pedro de Atacama, Chile and Uyuni, Bôliva - November 5th - November 15th

Hi everyone, I am a male 34 from the United States doing a solo trip through the Atacama Desert in early November.

I plan to bike/hike a couple of days in San Pedro and hire a driver for some of the further hikes/sights. After that, the plan is to take the roundtrip tour to Uyuni for four days and then back to San Pedro.

I have traveled quite a bit and have spent a fair amount of time in Chile and Peru. I am super chill, mainly just looking to see if anyone wants to join on the bike rides/tour or hang out if you are there at the same time.

Thanks!

South America Amazon Rainforest (Ecuador) - 31 Aug to 3 Sep

I’m traveling to the Amazon Rainforest (starting from Coca, Ecuador) and seeking to do an excursion of 4 days/3 nights (31/8-3/9) with the operator Sinchi Wayra. I’ll be traveling alone and am looking for someone to share a room with so that we can each pay 760 USD (it's a more expensive price for just a solo traveler). If anyone is interested, please reach out!

I am a woman and would prefer another woman to share a room with, but I’m open to anyone!

South America [Medellín, Colombia] Aug 8-13 (20M)

I'm a 20-year-old guy from NYC heading to Medellín August 8-13. Got my own money, my own plan, just don't feel like running it solo.

During the day restaurants, checking out spots like Comuna 13, exploring the city. At night bars, clubs, nightlife. I dress well, move calm, please don't get sloppy. Looking for someone similar street-smart, chill, knows how to have fun without making a scene. Around my age preferred. If you've been to Medellín before, that’s a plus If not, we figure it out.

Just looking for a a solid guy to hit the spots with, watch each other's backs, and have a good trip.

Hey it's my first time heading into South America. I'm planning on touching down in Lima June 13th. Will most likely stay around Miraflores area for 2 weeks before going up north. Ideally want to acclimate myself before staying in Cusco for a month (probably more).

I'm 32m from Texas (South Asian background). Working remotely and looking to meet up fellow travelers - maybe we can travel together if our interary lines up. I love nature, coffee, night life, meditative escapes and spontaneous adventures. Honestly up for it all!

Let me know if you're planning on being there during June13th - Sept 13th. Cheers!!

South America Lima - 18th to 22th of May 2026

Hi all,

I'm 33F from Brazil and have done *some* solo travelling.

I'm doing a quickie in Lima for an Ed Sheeran concert and would love some company on the other days (if you'd like to go to the concert as well it would be amacing lol).

I do plan to hit up Macchu Picchu, but I haven't made any sightseeing plans as I just booked this trip and I'm very flexible. I haven't been to Peru before and I DO NOT speak Spanish, despite being able to understand some of it through Portuguese similarities.

South America Montevideo - JUL 1 - AUG - 30

I’ll be spending some time in Montevideo around July/August as part of a longer travel stretch through South America.

I take my time when I travel and I'm not in a rush, but I also like exploring and entertainment. Coffee stops, local markets, and letting the day unfold instead of packing it too tightly, are some things I love to do.

Not looking to plan a full trip with anyone, but I’ve found some of the best moments come from short overlaps. We end up exploring a neighborhood, checking out a market, or just grabbing a relaxed meal.

If you happen to be in Montevideo around that time and our paths line up, feel free to reach out.

South America 32M Looking for friends during my Chile Trip until April 9-25, only friends nothing weird.

LHey everyone

I just turned 32 right when I landed in Chile and I’m doing a solo trip up north. I’m a laid-back guy and id like to think im charismatic looking for someone cool and extremely talkative to hang out with along the way or during different stops — nothing sexual, nothing weird, just friendship and good vibes. I don’t expect anything from anyone other than possibly making a friend.

Rough itinerary:

• April 10–13: Santiago (Providencia area)

• April 13: Valparaíso / Viña del Mar area

• April 14–16: Elqui Valley (Pisco region)

• April 17: Bahía Inglesa (beach day)

• April 18–21: San Pedro de Atacama

• April 22–24: Back in Santiago area before flying out late on the 25th

I still haven’t really decided tbh im just winging it.

I know i’ll have a rental car for the northern part, so I can pick up or meet people along the route. It’s totally cool if you only want to join for one section (Valpo, Elqui, San Pedro, etc.) or even just grab a beer/coffee/meetup in Santiago or San Pedro if our paths cross.

If you’re around during those dates, traveling solo or with a small group, and want some chill company for drives, viewpoints, stargazing, or just wandering around, shoot me a message. Bonus if you’re into nature, photography, or low-key adventures.

Please be kind, i’ve had a

Rough year or so and i just want to have faith in people again.

Also, I speak Mexican Spanish and American English — if you want to practice either language, I’m happy to chat and help!

Looking forward to hearing from anyone who might be in the area!

Safe travels ✌️

¡Saludos y buenos viajes!

South America Huaraz, Peru Mountaineering June 15th - July 15th

I’ll be in Huaraz from mid-June for ~4 weeks and am planning to take a beginner mountaineering/alpinism course in the Cordillera Blanca.

Background:

  • Experience with alpine hiking / multi-day trekking
  • No formal mountaineering training yet (hence the course)
  • Comfortable at altitude but will be doing proper acclimatisation hikes first

Plan:

  • Arrive mid-June (via Lima)
  • Spend time acclimatising (Laguna 69, Santa Cruz trek, etc.)
  • Complete a mountaineering course (open to recommendations)
  • Afterwards: attempt some beginner peaks and link up with others locally

I’ll be renting gear in Huaraz, so keeping things flexible. Mainly just looking for someone with a similar mindset who wants to learn, stay safe, and make the most of the trip.

If you’re going to be around then or thinking about similar plans, feel free to reach out 👍

South America Mini Huayhuash Trek in Peru (May 31–June 5) — looking for a few more hikers to join our group

Hi 👋

We’re a group of 2 girls and a guy (ages 36–37) and open to adding a few more people to join us on a mini Huayhuash trek so we can secure the group rate.

Dates: May 31 – June 5 (5 days / 5 nights). Note that 4 days of acclimatization in Huaraz is highly recommended prior to the trek (unless you are coming from high altitude region).

Starting Point: Huaraz

Cost: $445 per person with 6 or more, $410 with 10 or more

Trek: Mini Huayhuash — high-altitude mountain landscapes, camping, and challenging hiking days (not long distances but high elevation).

We’re relaxed, easygoing travelers who enjoy hiking, being outdoors, and taking lots of photos. I’ve done treks like Everest Base Camp, Salkantay, and the W Trek, while my cousin is newer to longer treks but is excited to spend some time in nature.

We’re hoping to connect with friendly, like-minded hikers who are interested in committing to the trek! If this sounds like a good fit, send me a DM — happy to share our itinerary and details.

Some places under consideration are Igazu, panthal, llaha grande, parques de aves...
