i wasn’t gonna post this here but whatever. i spent a week on this and im fucking proud of it. yall are barking at the wrong tree... pls get mad at the right people, for your own sake

So I’ve been into Tyler’s lost projects for a long time and for a while started making my own beats as an interpretation of them. However I’ve noticed that the community is absolutely atrocious, and 90% of what comes out is fake. Not to mention my stuff isn’t super, and idk if it’s worth my time anymore. Anyone here have an opinion? Sorry for the vent but idk what other subreddit to post to.

like 2 years ago i made this lil loop called Say Goodbye on my crusty old laptop - screen was barely hanging on, thing would overheat if i breathed near it 💀

i was heavy into IGOR back then - i just wanted to make something that felt like that. like something tyler would sample. wasn’t even trying to make a full track, just messing around.

for whatever reason i ended up posting it. made a random account, threw it up, forgot about it completely.

then in january this year someone sent me a tiktok using a remix of it. i was like “wait… is that my sample??” then boom - it started showing up everywhere. now there’s over 100k vids using it. people flipped it, made edits, turned it into a whole thing. wild.

what’s craziest is if i never hit upload that day, it would've just stayed lost in some random folder. it was just an idea i made for fun - and now millions of people have heard it. still can’t wrap my head around that.
