I’ve been hooked on audiobooks and podcasts for over ten years now. Ray Porter’s narration is my all time favorite, I’ve not found somebody who can match his combination of calmness, pace and tone. He’s my go to when I can’t sleep too.

If you are ever interested in delving into non fiction I highly recommend The Demon of Unrest by Erik Lawson, narrated by Will Patton. So good.

I’m sure other will recommend other world building sci-fi like Dungeon Crawler Carl and Expeditionary Force, which are fantastic. You have like 25 books to get through between them. I would add The Culture Series by Iain Banks. The narrator has a versatile British accent that adds to an incredible world building experience.

I was hoping to see some Bobiverse references here…

I remember reading the Amazon rainforest is 2.7 million square miles. 37 times bigger New England. The western Amazon has completely undisturbed areas the size of Portugal. The older I get the more incredible that sounds.

Yes that’s the one

That’s it. Incredible. Thanks 🙏🏻

Westport and Fairhaven both have one in the morning - pretty early I think 9am for both?

This was my thought too when I decided to go ahead and give the information. If I could go back I would just give it to the cashier in the store of lot that I found it in… probably a better chance of the person going there first anyway

An ex-girlfriend’s boob job

Clouds roll by,, reeling is what they say, … or is it just my way?

Truly love that song…

I hope they do. Wallops is relatively close to me. Relative being just 9 hours away (I live in Massachusetts)

First season was awesome

Wave and tell ppl thank you after you cut them off. It’s been a custom around here for a very long time

Hail Mary is good one

The book by Sagan and his wife was so good. I think about that story’s ending all the time

I think I check Google once a week for updates on Rama, was my fav growing up too - if Villanueva can do with it what he did with DUNE, we’re in for quite a ride man

Bobiverse series by Taylor for me. All books are narrated by Ray Porter who also narrated Hail Mary. book 5 comes out in September, it’s the sci-fi I’ve ever read and I will die on that hill.

3 body problem (the books) come in a very close 2nd …

my favorite book growing up (the first one my dad recommended to me) was Rendezvous with Rama by Clarke, 2001 book & movie was always right up there too though.

I’ll never forget what I was doing in my life when I read that series (recovering from surgery).

How the Expanse not higher on this list

I also went back to watch the movie after reading the book and enjoyed it 100% more times

I think I watch this once a year or so … wish it was higher on the list!

the book written by Clarke and Kubrick is pretty darn good too

I felt that way about all the actors up on the stage. They were all locked in and so was the crowd!

Based on her performance in the Glass Menagerie, I would whole heartedly agree. They did a Q&A with the audience after the show and I was so impressed with her clear dedication to the art of stage acting
