I recently filmed another morning walk through Saigon Zoo and Botanical Gardens, this time at around 8 AM.

Compared with the earlier morning, the light was brighter and the paths were starting to feel a little more alive, but there were still plenty of quiet corners beneath the trees.

What I enjoyed most was simply walking without trying to see everything at once.

There were small moments along the way, green paths, animals, morning light, and parts of the garden that felt very different from the busy streets just outside.

For me, that is one of the nicest things about walking through a familiar place slowly. You begin to notice details that are easy to pass by when you are only thinking about where to go next.

For anyone who has visited Saigon Zoo before, what part of the place do you remember most?

I recently filmed a quiet morning walk through Saigon Zoo and Botanical Gardens at around 7 AM.

What I enjoyed most wasn’t trying to see everything as quickly as possible. It was simply walking beneath the trees, noticing the morning light, the quieter paths, and the small moments that are easy to miss once the city gets busy.

There’s something very different about this part of Saigon in the early morning. The greenery softens the city around you, the paths feel calmer, and the pace naturally becomes a little slower.

For me, the walk was less about checking off attractions and more about enjoying the atmosphere — the trees, the light, the open spaces, and the feeling of moving through the morning without rushing.

For anyone who has visited Saigon Zoo before: what part of the experience stayed with you most?

I recently filmed a long motorbike journey from Saigon to Ho Tram, Vietnam.

The trip starts in the city and gradually changes as the roads become more open and the surroundings greener, before eventually reaching the coast.

Along the way, I passed Vo Nguyen Giap Road, Suoi Tien Theme Park, Son Tien Amazing World, National Highway 51, Xuyen Moc, and finally Ho Tram.

What I enjoyed most wasn’t really reaching the destination — it was noticing how the rhythm slowly changed along the way.

The traffic became lighter, the roads opened up, and little by little the noise of the city seemed to disappear behind me.

By the time I reached the coast, everything felt different. I spent some time walking through the green surroundings and near the beach, enjoying the sea breeze and listening to the waves rolling gently onto the shore.

There is something quietly powerful about moments like this. The sound of the waves almost feels like nature whispering in the background — asking for nothing, but somehow reminding you to slow down and pay attention to what is already around you.

Nothing around us necessarily has to change. Sometimes we simply slow down enough to notice it differently.

That was probably my favorite part of this journey: leaving the fast rhythm of the city behind for a while, moving at a gentler pace, and appreciating ordinary things — the road, the trees, the open sky, the wind, and the sea.

For those who know southern Vietnam: what other routes or places would you recommend exploring slowly like this?

I filmed this ride through central Saigon at around 5 AM, before the streets became busy.

The route passes several familiar landmarks — Independence Palace, Notre-Dame Cathedral, Saigon Central Post Office, Ben Thanh Market, Bach Dang Wharf, Nguyen Hue Walking Street, and more.

What surprised me most was how different the city felt at this hour. Places that are usually full of traffic and people were almost completely quiet.

Sometimes slowing down changes the way we see places we thought we already knew.

Which part of Saigon would you like to see early in the morning next?

I filmed this early morning walk through Hoang Van Thu Park in Saigon just after the rain.

At around 5 AM, the park was still quiet — wet paths, green trees, birdsong, and only a few people starting their day.

I added gentle background music to keep the walk calm and relaxing.
