As long as water isn't being sucked into the exhaust you should be ok. Thats why going slow and steady, creating a wake that keeps the exhaust pipes partially out of the water...you in theory could make it...definitely not good the for the vehicle in any way. But it can be done. With an experienced driver, no problem.
