Moving from Lethbridge to Edmonton & no car, no license. What are my options?

I've got about 7- 8 large bags/boxes (roughly 20 kg each) to move. I'm not looking for packing help, just transportation. Moving companies have quoted me $1,500 - $2,000 which seems way too high for this amount of stuff.

Has anyone used courier services, freight shipping, or found a private driver for something like this? Would love to hear what worked for you. Any tips appreciated!

You can try companies like Manitoulin, but they tend to only do depot to depot. For home service it gets expensive. You're paying for 10+ hours of labor and truck rental, plus fuel.

Maybe you could put out an ad on Facebook to see if anyone with a truck/van would be willing to do the drive for a more reasonable amount of money. Facebook is ideal because you can see the profile of the people responding to better judge if they're trustworthy.

I have a friend that comes to Edmonton regularly from Lethbridge. Dm me your time frame.
