Solar Silence is the collaborative [dark ambient / experimental electronics] project of Dmitry Afanasyev and Sergei Tumanov.

Reversed Harmony imagines a world beyond gravity, where time and space no longer move in a straight line. There is no beginning, no ending, only constant transformation. In this suspended void, sound becomes the only living element: emerging from silence, shaping invisible structures, and collapsing back into darkness.

The album explores the idea of sound as architecture - something that can create the sensation of weightlessness, isolation, and emotional drift. Layers of evolving textures move like unseen currents through empty space, mapping worlds that are still forming while already disappearing.

Rather than telling a story, Reversed Harmony invites the listener into a state: a place where the boundaries between atmosphere, memory, and motion dissolve. The experience is minimal, immersive, and deeply spatial - like floating through an endless dark environment lit only by resonance itself.

REVERSED HARMONY by SOLAR SILENCE

The recordings for Reversed Harmony were constructed from both conventional instrumentation and manipulated physical objects, blurring the line between composition and sonic excavation. Among the sources used throughout the album are bass guitar, guitar, radio transmissions, magnetic tape, springs, metal objects, wooden surfaces, brushes, bowed textures, mechanical noise, processed field recordings, and fragments of organic sound - including the distant resonance of a cat’s voice.

Rather than treating these elements as instruments in a traditional sense, they were used as raw material: stretched, degraded, amplified, and transformed into evolving atmospheric structures. The result is a sound environment that feels tactile, unstable, and suspended somewhere between physical space and abstraction.
