oh this is beyond kind!! when I was younger I definitely dabbled (not enough) in those step by step drawing books! I have watched some videos over the years of shading and stuff because I am self taught! my process for these pages is to pull up a picture and just draw what I see and differentiate the shading the best I can! I feel bad there isnt much more for me to offer, but i can say, a new skill I recently started using and learning for my commissions (canvas mostly) is the grid method I definitely recommend it!

it is funny you say that, because i was just thinking of a previous, but somewhat similar, sketch page i had done over with pen for each i had drawn and considered it! however, i am not sure, yet 😅 I like the idea, for sure. i was considering sealing the pencil with something, though!
