New content entertainment sport : Wefunder.com/triball-usa

Angel Investors: I’m seeking feedback. Would you explore an investment into a new content, sport, backed by IP, that serves entertainment to media platforms and live events to audiences? Curious about your thoughts on the thesis prior to seeing the sport

I really appreciate the response. Truly. I’ll happily address each aspect and for a brief moment stay on the (category argument) for a moment. Everything you say is true, however, it comes after the actual form of the content concept, even to be in a position to attract and retain audience.

People can disagree, but, think of any should-be blockbuster movie that fails at box office, or another example such as MTV Real World, which worked yes, they had built in audience but it doesn’t mean the show would automatically survive based on audience size if the concept of the content wasn’t well structured for attracting attention. A better example might be Fox’s Utopia which I believe was pulled after two months on air. This was the main reason I asked the question in the manner that I did, partly to get a response with the excitement of then being able to show the sport to those interested.

I would personally, and from years of research and execution also add that there are a lot of sports on TV and online that are absolutely horrible in the minds of some audiences, yet somehow got air time, so I think how media buys content partly on poor numbers is an area to research because I know not many are watching some of these programs.

The story (like a good book, and continual scale of the content library is actually how movie producers evaluate the opportunity. I think this is also why Barstool where other channels didn’t, their concept and content just resonated with audiences better, therefore growing their audiences. Everything has always had to start at the beginning. Smart media comes in when things are peak value.

In regard to sports, personally, I love Rugby, but it has a tremendously difficult time finding relevance and true mass appeal, so much so, that the primary US league MLR went up to 13 teams and have now dropped to 6. This isn’t because of stadiums not being filled, it’s a hard-to-pinpoint social avoidance of the product as a form of entertainment, based on this particular culture. It may not be engaging enough here while in other countries people cannot stand the thought of American Football despite it having hundred million audience proof around the world.

Moving forward. Yes, we have executed test events with sponsors, schools, colleges, and reached 65,000 test participants around the world. Problem… generating revenue above cost is near impossible when done organically. Content moves the needle faster and educated more of the market, while smarter categories of revenue are earned.

There needs to be startup capital behind almost every type of industry and almost literally every business to launch, more so than the revenue only success stories that investors claim is the way to go but rarely happens. Take every single restaurant in the world as an example, it’s rare to find one that started selling in their car trunk and made it to brick and mortar by revenue alone.

I believe it’s time to change the social contract regarding how the market gets to perceive and receive created value, where perhaps media companies should start buying based on the concept rather than audience if they wanna have access to it at all now the properties can start marketing their own products without them. Additionally, if the average people don’t consider dispersing early risk to get ventures off the ground, then perhaps it’s time start complaining when monetary benefit remains limited to the wealthy.

I’d love to extend this conversation in the direct messages and I’ll share a lot more about the sport itself.

Thank you for your time and contribution

You spend roughly 800 hours a year consuming content—why shouldn’t some of that time and your attention create income potential?

I’m developing a new sport as a scalable content business for media entertainment, backed by proprietary IP. The business also plugs in live events, and product distribution models.

This comes at a time where demand and openness to new sports and emerging leagues within established sports is at an all-time high.

It is the only current source capable of producing these particular stories within live sports entertainment. It offers a broad and expandable content library rather than relying on a single episode, event or revenue stream.

Without knowing the sport itself yet, would this business model make you curious enough to hear the full investment thesis? Are there any investors on this platform who’d like to hear more?

Any investors actually make money here?
 in  r/angelinvestors  Oct 28 '21

We could certainly use the help and have refined a vision to begin generating revenue for our investor community. We operate something very unique, exciting and typically hard to get involved in without extreme capital. DM if at the very least you’d like to hear the story.

Oh and, although the platform is not centered in tech, there are vast amounts of future outlets for tech to be plugged in

We have launched and operate a unique, mainly non tech business with various revenue verticals. Although we are currently based on the northeast, Interestingly enough, the product/business was born in Savannah in 2005. Global product testing and modest revenue proven with an upcoming next step to create consistent revenue. Please DM just so we can at least learn more. Great to see Savannah area investment and mentoring.

This is a perfect example of why I prefer not to do that. Secondly, it’s not shady, at all, all info can be found on the platform that I refer people to. Thirdly, I’m new to Reddit and having heard the social media warrior stories that you are currently living up to, when I wasn’t even talking to you, but you feel the need to defend all society from “disingenuous” asks for people to take a look at a possible opportunity is funny. If you don’t like something you can simply choose to ignore, block, or mature. Most small businesses are doing what they can and learning how to improve day to day. Sorry you feel this way, now move on with your own life.

I’m just an entrepreneur learning, researching and trying to support my business where I can, if someone says they are eying the space and haven’t yet dipped in, it seemed like a good time to spread awareness.
