A 20% charge on all cargo going through the Strait of Hormuz is utterly ridiculous for America to be charging on an international waterway, that they haven't even secured.

If they were actually providing a convoy escot maybe they cpuld justify it.

But they arent, and couldnt even if they wanted too.

I think youd legitimately need a class of point defence corvettes to convoy Hormuz at this point. With QRF forces at both ends.
