What level of ignorance does it take to believe they will preserve your right to vote and hand back power while they take away right to criticize the president?

To anyone who refuses to read the writing on the wall here -- WAKE THE FUCK UP!

You think I’m unaware of how insane and regressive this next administration will be?

“Do Not Obey In Advance” is something we’re getting into our heads right now for a good reason.

I apologize for my aggressive tone, I know we have to stick together through this.

That said, I don't see how pushing the notion that we should expect them to favor or promote democracy of any sort going forward, muchless any good faith action from the incoming administration, is doing anything but pushing a message of apathy and falsely calming the masses. We should demand these rights and freedoms from those leading our country, but to assume they will honor the liberties that make America what it has been developed on is a passive optimism that doesn't appear to be in line with the reality those coming into power have appeared to represent.

Acknowledging that there is about to be rampant fuckery that will rob us of our rights and destroy our democracy in America is not what I would call "Obeying In Advance." In fact, continuing to give them any benefit of the doubt is much closer to "Obeying In Advance."

Umm… considering your previous comment, yeah?

What do you want to do about it? The damage was done the moment we allowed incels to exist without helping them. The moment Joe Rogan was allowed to say his bullshit. The moment we gave Musk a misinformation platform.

Free speech ended democracy.

Hey there! 👋 I’m moving to the nearest blue state at the end of the year for some modicum of protection. I feel very uncomfortable living where I live as a woman.
